Where has this year gone?

Have you ever had the feeling that everywhere you look people are achieving what they set out for themselves as goals for 2017, and you just sitting back and watching others succeed right in front of you. Does this happen because you have given up on your goals or because you have been confronted with a minor setback which messed with our focus?

The question is why do we look at other people when we should be focussing on ourselves. Why do we allow ourselves to be affected by the success of others instead of celebrating their achievements and learning from them?

“It’s said that a wise person learns from his mistakes. A wiser one learns from others’

mistakes. But the wisest person of all learns from other successes."- John C. Maxwell

It doesn’t matter what your goals are, be it to stop smoking, taking a conscious effort to improving your wellness or your business, it’s a goal which you have set for yourself, you are the one that wrote it down on that piece of paper earlier this year and only you can work towards making it a reality.

If you reached at least two of your five goals for this year you are on the right track to still making 2017 one of the best years of your life. Don’t wait until you’ve reached your goal to be proud of yourself, BE PROUD OF every step you take toward reaching your goal.

“A dream written down with a DATE becomes a goal.

A goal broken down into STEPS becomes a plan.

A plan backed by ACTION makes your dreams come true.”

-The wise one

I would also like to share something that I use as my personal motivation every day, I read this at least twice a day, first thing in the morning and the last thing at night.

(subconscious mind things) I’m hoping that it will give you a little inspiration to believe in your dreams and goals again.

I believe anything is possible.

I see opportunity when others see impossibility.

I take risks. I’m focussed. I hustle.

I know that nothing is unrealistic.

I feel overwhelming love.

I embrace my childlike wonder and curiosity.

I take flying leaps into the unknown.

I contribute to something bigger than myself.

I CREATE. I LEARN. I GROW. I DO.

I believe it’s never too late to start living a dream.

I AM ... (SAY YOUR NAME HERE)

As the great Benjamin Mays said, “the tragedy of life lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goals to reach.” Only you can take that action on the goals and dreams you have written down, so go out there, believe in your words and make it come true!
