René Roberts-Patel

Rene is a mom, wife, model, owner of her own gym studio called MI-GYM (Pty) Ltd, the owner of the Chilli revolution called PIMO SA (Pty) Ltd and has her own body care range called Mi Africa. 

Born and brought up on the Cape Flats, Mitchell's Plain has played a large part in the woman she is today. It has taught her that we should not allow our circumstances to stop us from pursuing our passions. It has also taught her to be patient, strong and to never stop believing in herself and the ability to empower others. She is a fighter a hard worker and fearless.

Rene comes from a beauty pageant background, entered many pageants and won numerous titles. She used this as a business and this is where her entrepreneurial spirit kicked in.

She was also one of the South African GLADIATORS (international franchise) called Lightning, one of the very first reality TV shows on South African Screens.

One of her highlights in her career as a model/actress is that she when she lived in Dubai, she had the opportunity to be part of the Mission Impossible 4 movie, where she had the role as the lead Actress Paula Patton body double/stand-in, and also did some of her car stunts. (20 days on set).

In 2015, Rene placed Top 6 in the Mrs South Africa pageant and also was awarded the very prestigious title of Mrs SA public choice. 
In 2016, Rene was nominated as the Mrs Africa Globe and had the opportunity to represent the entire African continent at the International Mrs Globe Pageant. Besides placing 3rd in the Mrs Globe 2017 pageant, Rene was also awarded the Contestants choice and the Magic award which was the theme of the 20th anniversary of the Mrs Globe pageant, a very special award as it was chosen by the president of the Mrs Globe organisation herself. 

She has also hosted her very First Pink Tie for CANSA event on the 5th of July 2015 at the Sands in Sandton, where she managed to secure the very popular Cape Town comedian, Marc Lottering as her MC for that afternoon. Her Cancer fundraiser was and is a very special blessing, as she managed to change one woman's life forever. She secured a huge sponsorship for a full breast augmentation for a cancer survivor, and still very involved in the pink drive for CANSA.

The #61116 charity event hosted by Rene as well, brought comedic heavyweights under one roof to raise funds for the three charities which are close to her heart. Together they raised enough funds and all be beneficiaries benefited generously.

Rene is the Ambassador for Read to Rise, a literacy programme which has been endorsed by the department of basic education in South Africa and is also one of the founding members of a Women's organisation called Women of Valor.


She has represented brands such as Henry London SA, Needle-less-to-say, Perfect 10 South Africa and SkinDerm SA.

Rene her husband and two beautiful daughters have recently moved back to the United Kingdom after 4 years in Johannesburg, South Africa. They as a family also lived in Dubai for 8 years and Mauritius for 1.


She is a  Personal Trainer with a Sports Psychology Diploma, a Motivational Speaker and just recently received her Diploma for Social Media Marketing as well as Digital Marketing.
